Unemployed weekend

For those who don't already know, Rob changed jobs again. He took a job with Darden restaurants. Thursday was his last day with D.R. Horton and Tuesday was his first day with Darden so Rob had Friday and Monday off. He loved telling everyone all weekend that he was "unemployed". Friday we went to the mall to get Rob new shoes for work and let the kids play. That evening we went to a friend's going away party. The kids had so much fun running around the yard with all the kids at the party. They had water guns for all the kids and that kept the kids busy while the adults talked. Jack and Callie were so wet but had a lot of fun.

Saturday, we spent the day cleaning the house and the yard. That night we went to Animal Kingdom. We watched the Lion King show and rode the triceratops(like Dumbo). Then we discovered Jack was tall enough to ride the river rapids ride. Rob took him on it three times and Jack loved it and got very soaked.

We also changed our guest room into Callie's room. We moved the full guest bed into Jack's room and Jack's crib into Callie's new room. Jack loves his new big bed but still does not like sleeping there alone. So now we have all this guest furniture, food storage, etc that we have to find places for. I am getting overwhelmed with all the stuff that was in the 3rd bedroom being everywhere and the house is still not completely organized.

We got a free ticket in the mail for Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and the promotion also was for each additional ticket in your party was $35. The offer expired Monday so we decided to go on Monday. While Rob was in line to buy tickets for me and Jack, some man came up to him and gave him another ticket he was not going to use so we ended up only having to buy one ticket. Universal and IOA do not have much to do for little kids. They have a lot of play and water areas but very few rides for little kids or that little kids are even tall enough to go on so I am very glad that we did not have to pay full price. I would not go back until the kids are older or we have someone to watch the kids so Rob and I can go. The kids favorite part of the play areas was the ball factory which had these foam balls everywhere, dropping from the ceiling, shooting across the room, and the kids could collect them in bags and take them to the second level and put them in guns and shoot them across the room. Jack mainly liked collecting the balls into the bags. Callie liked chasing the balls around the room and putting them in the vacuum tubes and watching them being sucked up. The kids also liked the water areas and fountains and they got very wet. Jack really liked the E.T. ride but it was a little too scary and loud for Callie. While in line for E.T. we noticed Callie only had one shoe on. Since it was still early in the day we were upset because we would probably have to buy her shoes in the park if we didn't find it. Rob got out of line to retrace our steps but came back empty handed. After the ride, we were walking to the front of the park to check in the lost and found and on top of the cement plant border was sitting Callie's shoe. We were very happy and surprised we were able to find her shoe. Overall, it was a fun day and we all came home exhausted.
