They had climbed into the tub in our master bath and Jack had turned on the water. Thankfully, we do not keep the stopper in the tub so the water could not fill up. They had a cup that they were using to pour water on themselves and the floor. So they were both soaked from head to toe and the floor was covered in water. When I left to get towels to start to dry them off, Jack followed me even though I told him to stay put and tracked water through my bedroom, living room, and kitchen. So now I have a bunch more clean up chores added to my list and a load of wet towels to add to the other 3 loads of laundry waiting. At least, the kids had fun till they were discovered and I am appreciating naptime even more today:)

WET!
Today I had a million things I wanted/needed to get done. One of them was packing away Callie's winter clothes to have more space for her spring/summer clothes and organizing her drawers. The kids were playing really well together so I thought that was the perfect time to tackle that project. About 10 to 15 minutes into the project, I realized that the kids had become very quiet so I went to see what they were up to. This is what I found.....

Spring
I love Spring. We usually do not have much of a Spring or Fall here in Florida but we have had a few weeks of great spring weather. It has been so nice and we have really enjoyed being outdoors and it made the days we went to Disney with Rob's parents last week very nice. I am not sure how long our beautiful spring weather will continue but we are enjoying it while it lasts.

New Shoes and faces
Callie loves shoes, especially dress up heels. Every time we go to someone's house where the little girl has dress up shoes, Callie will wear them around until we leave. I finally found some for Callie at a garage sale and gave them to her this weekend. She will not take them off and even sleeps in them and will still have them on when she wakes up the next morning. Here is a picture of her new favorite shoes.

Both Jack and Callie love making silly faces and love for me to call our different emotions and they make the face. For example, I will call out "Show me a sad, scared, surprised etc. face" and they both make their sad, scared, surprised, etc. faces. Here is a few pics of Callie's faces while we were playing that game.

It's great to be 4
Jack has really loved being four. He has said to me out of the blue a few times "I'm so happy that I'm 4 and not 3". He also makes sure that everyone he has seen this week knows he is now 4. When we were at the Chickfila play place this week and a boy who was about 7 or 8 came in, Jack went right up to him and said "Hey, I'm four." So I think he is really happy about his new age. We had Jack's pirate birthday party on Saturday and it was big and somewhat chaotic. Our house is not very big-a good size for our family-but not so big for 50 people. There were 50 people at his birthday party!!!! 14 of those included our family but the rest were 36 guests. Each kid came with in many cases both sets of parents and siblings which resulted in a whole lot of people to have in your home. We tried to keep most of the party outside and had activities in the front and in the back yards. In the front, we got out all our foot pedaled cars and had car races around a "track" Rob had put together in the driveway and also had sidewalk chalk for drawing. In the back we had all our outside toys and swingset. It was a bit on the hot side so being outside did get uncomfortable after awhile. The real problems were when the cake was served and opening the presents because that got very crowded. All in all, I think Jack had fun. Next time, I think I will try to limit the number of guests. The only other problem we had was that since we were running around all the time trying to entertain and feed everybody we hardly took any pictures:(

Happy Easter and Hapy Birthday Jack!!!!
This year Jack's birthday was on Easter. It has been holiday and birthday overload at our house and is still not over yet. We had Callie's birthday 2 weeks ago which I posted about but we could not celebrate with family that weekend because I had the primary easter activity that weekend which I was completely in charge of. Then, the following Thurs, I hosted a small birthday party for Callie with her playgroup. Last week, I took cupcakes and food for Jack's birthday to his preschool class and then on Saturday we had an easter egg hunt in the morning at Jack's preschool and hurried home to host our family birthday party for Callie and her cousin Megan. Then yesterday more celebration for Easter and Jack's birthday. It was also sooo cold all weekend. And it is not over yet, now I am preparing to have Jack's birthday party with his playgroup and friends on Saturday. I will be relieved when this weekend is over and I can stop planning and preparing but it has all been fun. Here are some pics from all the celebrations. I also want to say Happy Birthday to Jack who is 4. He is so much fun and sooo funny. He loves to laugh and be silly. He really likes to help out and learn new things and is full of a million questions. We love our little boy!

Callie watching the puppet show at the Easter Egg hunt at Jack's preschool. It is a Methodist preschool so the puppets sang kinda weird songs like "Walk like a Christian"(a twist on Walk like an Egyptian) and "Don't worry, trust Jesus" but the kids were entertained.
