3 months old

At the end of November Nola turned 3 months old. She is holding her head up well and is grabbing things with her hands. She still is not much of a napper but still sleeping well at night. She also is happier for longer in her swing of on her playmat which has let my arms have a little more rest from holding her. She is also smiling more and responding to our voices.

Callie really likes helping us with Nola and does not like when she is unhappy. Last Sunday when we were trying to get out the door and Nola was crying in her carseat, Callie drew her a picture and taped it to her carseat handle and sang to her till we got in the car. Nola did like looking at Callie's picture and it stayed there until the tape gave out.

This month, Nola also had her first trip to DisneyWorld. Rob and I braved taking all the kids to the Magic Kingdom because our passes expire in a few months and we have not used them as much as planned because of my pregnancy. Overall, it was ok while we were in the park and it had its chaotic moments but was mostly successful. However, it fell apart as we were heading back to the parking lot at the end of the day. We had to cram in a very packed monorail with our huge double stroller and there was only standing room available. All of us were tired and hungry at this point. As soon as we packed in, all 4 of our kids started crying and screaming. Nola was crying in Rob's arms. Hudson tripped as we were entering the Monorail and scraped his hands so he was crying in my arms. Jack and Callie were fighting because they were standing right next to each other and had no room to move and they were each accusing the other of touching them. Rob nor I had our arms free to successfully break up the argument so that only escalated with more tears. Then, in all the commotion, we had forgot to lock our stroller and it started rolling as the monorail began moving and knocking into strangers. I could only laugh at the spectacle we were making to keep from crying myself and hoped I would never see any of these people again. It was the longest monorail ride ever and I think it may be awhile till we attempt taking all four kids to Disney again.

Thanks for the Christmas card Sara! I love the picture. Your kids are getting so big but you and Rob look the exact same as I remember you!
Merry Christmas!
