Good Intentions

I started this year off with such good intentions for my blog and goals to be a more regular blogger instead of just catching up rapidly every few months. But here I am again at the start of another quick catch up of the last six months. This year has had some unexpected surprises that have completely changed my plans and goals for 2010 and have pushed blogging to the bottom of my list. Then, as I got more behind on blog posts, the task became even more daunting and so it stayed at the bottom of my to-do list. Well, I decided I could no longer hide from my blog and have finally decided to jump back in.

So our big surprise of the year was that we found out in January that we will again be adding to our family at the end of August. This pregnancy completely caught me off guard. With my other pregnancies, I had sort of planned for them and felt ready for another baby, but with this one that came out of the blue, it was a hard adjustment to deal with at first. I really felt unprepared and Hudson still felt like a baby to me so I thought I was set for awhile. After the intial shock wore off, I began to realize that this was just what was meant to be and now we are all really excited for our new baby. Also, we were so thrilled to find out that it's a girl and to even out the girl/boy ratio in the house.
