December

We had a fun December. The excitement from the kids for Christmas made the month fly by. They loved putting up all the Christmas decorations and the ornaments on the tree even though they were only allowed to put them on the top half. They also constantly kept the Christmas tree lights on. I would turn them off during the day whenever I saw them left on but a few minutes later they always seemed to be on again.

Jack and Callie were also excited to start their chocolate advent calendar and begin their countdown to Christmas.

Every day they would spend their free time around the tree looking at the ornaments, playing with the stockings, and making Christmas lists.

Early in the month, the kids enjoyed a home visit from Santa Claus even if it was just a quick drive-by. The city has a small parade of fire engines, police cars, and Santa in his sleigh passing out candy that drives through all the neighborhoods. The kids loved it and were so excited waiting for Santa to get to our house.

This month we also decided to get Disney passes once again to take advantage of the Florida resident special to get an extra three months free. We surprised the kids and we told them were going to run errands and ended up at Disney instead. It was fun to be back again. Jack and Callie's favorite ride was Splash Mountain which they got to ride three times and Hudson of course loved Small World and the Carousel and screamed whenever we tried to pry him from his carousel horse.
