Week Two

Hudson turned two weeks old this past week. Some highlights from his second week of life included:

We had a nice low-key July 4th. Since Jack had a fever on and off that day, we spent the day doing things around the house, Rob went golfing with my sister Nancy and her boyfriend, we had turkey burgers, then did mini fireworks and sparklers in the evening, and ,since big fireworks are legal here, we watched the neighbors' and others' fireworks from the back yard.

Jack was really aprehensive about holding the sparkler and ,when we finally convinced him to try it, he made sure he kept it far away from himself.

Hudson also had his 2 week checkup. He weighed 8lbs 13 oz and was 21" long so he has grown a lot in 2 weeks.

My mom also had to return home this weekend but I am so grateful for her and that she was able to come help me out these past two weeks. She kept Jack and Callie completely entertained by taking them swimming, to the inflatable play place, to the park, the library, an animal show, Chickfila, etc. She even took Jack and Callie back with her to spend this week at Grandma's house. This will be my first week alone but I am glad I get to ease back into it since it is just me and Hudson. Thank you Grandma for all your help!
