As we are counting down the days before the baby is here, I have just started focusing on all the baby gear and stuff we need as we have been getting the house ready for #3. We kept almost everything from when we had Jack and did not buy really anything new when we had Callie but with this one, I have been so tempted to buy new things. It is amazing how many new baby things they have come out with in the last 5 years. Also, when we had Jack, we were students and probably didn't buy as much or as nice of things as we would have if we were employed at the time. However, I do want to be practical and know that the most of the things we have will definitely get us by but may pick a few things to update. One of the things I definitely want to buy is a diaper bag. I have never had a diaper bag that I really liked. I have had big ones and small ones and the big ones are always too big and the small one we have will be definitely too small for three especially with a newborn. So I would love to know if anyone has a diaper bag that they love. I need one that can fit snacks and water for Jack and Callie but also fit all the new baby's items as well. I would also love to be able to fit my wallet, keys, and phone in it at times so I do not have to carry my purse and diaper bag at the same time. So please give me a diaper bag recommendation if you have one or anything other baby things you have found helpful that may not have been around 5 years ago. I look forward to hearing some ideas!

Let's see...I've had four children, and on average have bought two diaper bags with each one, and still have yet to find the perfect one. The bag I use for primary is actually a diaper bag, and it works well because the sides are stiff enough to hold my binder and books, and I LOVE the fabric. However, it's kind of bulky and hard to carry around places other than church.
Good luck with your search. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
My husband's cousin makes cute diaper bags at danisdesigns.net. But I am still on the hunt for the perfect diaper bag. I've heard great things about Petunia Picklebottom diaper bags.
I definitely think you need a Bumbo! I think that is the item that was used a ton (at least for the few months that Ellie could use).
I need a new diaper bag as well. So I will be checking back to see if you get any recommendations!
I can't wait to see this new baby of yours. Your other two were so perfect and adorable the minute they came out!
I've been using volcom and hurley book bags for forever. My hurley bag is cute on the outside, and jake doesn't mind carrying it around and very functional on the inside. it has the shoulder strap, and two large inside pockets as well as an outside and inside zip pockets, without being too bulky like the regular diaper bags. i got mine for $12.
