So this weekend, we were able to finally finish the home organization we started last month and get out all the baby stuff. It is so nice to have the house organized before the baby comes and now we can fill up all the extra space with food storage which is the next project we need to work on.
While Rob and I spent our weekend at home working, my parents were in town to entertain the kids. On Friday, we met Rob at Bahama Breeze for dinner and were also joined by my sister Nancy. It was a great way to start off the weekend. Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa played with the kids outside where they enjoyed the sprinklers with their friends next door and ate pizza for lunch.
After lunch, the grandparents took the kids to an indoor inflatable play gym and Grandma gave Callie a summer haircut.
That night they made homemade ice cream with Grandpa and they loved helping add the ice and salt.
On Sunday, we enjoyed a nice quiet day after church and for dinner tried Oprah's favorite turkey burger recipe(we were not impressed--Rob's are much better) and the best corn on the cob that we bought on Saturday from a local nursery. Monday, Rob and I finished our projects and Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to get some vegetable plants and planted them in pots on the back porch. Gardening is Jack's new hobby and he is so good at remembering to water the plants outside every day when previously they were neglected. This weekend was also a great time for us to get help eating up all our cereal. We had 28 boxes of cereal in our pantry probably due to Rob's weakness for cereal and Buy 1 Get 1 free deals but most of them had been opened. I think we are now down to 23 thanks to the Grandparents and them taking some home.
In other news, Rob recently picked up Callie's dance recital costume. Callie was in dance class since last August but, when I was put on bedrest, she was missing all the classes because she spent weeks away at Grandma's or other's homes and we could not get her there so we had to drop out especially since we had no clue when I would be able to start taking her again. Unfortunately, we had already paid for the dance recital costume and could not be refunded. When the costume came in last week, they called us to come pick it up. Callie, of coarse, loves it and it will now be a very expensive dress up outfit. Hopefully, she can start dance again in the Fall.

I could use some of your "nesting" phase over at my house. With my being sick the past couple of days, things have really gotten out of control.
And I thought I had a fetish for buying cereal...
It stinks that you couldn't get the money back for Callie's costume, but she sure looks adorable in it. We saved our dance costumes for years and years...it was so fun for me as a little girl to be able to fit into all of my sisters old dance attires. We would put on our roller skates in the basement and pretend that we were figure skaters skating to Madonna and Whitney Houston. Gotta love the 80's!
28 boxes!!!?
My mom ebayed all of my old ballet costumes.
