Happy 30th Birthday Rob!

The blog below was originally supposed to be posted on February 7th (which is Rob's B-Day), but there was some technical difficulties.

Today is Rob's 30th birthday. I have been dreading this birthday because we are no longer a couple in our 20's and it reminds me that my 30th birthday is only a few years away. I don't think 30 is old but I am really sad that we are leaving our 20's. I am happy to celebrate Rob today though because he is a wonderful husband and father. To honor his 30th birthday, here are 30 things about Rob:

1. He recently started exercising and has lost 20 pounds.
2. He loves to play golf even though he does not get to go as much as he would like. His favorite golf course to play is Spyglass in Monterey, California.
3. He collects Star Wars legos. Here is the most recent one he built over MLK Jr. Weekend-The Death Star.
4. Rob loves to sleep. He can sleep anytime and anywhere.
5. Rob makes the best chocolate chip cookies and they are my weakness.
6. Rob makes really good Sunday morning breakfasts-eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, or french toast and the kids love to help.
7. He shares my passion for eating out and his favorite restaurants are Seasons 52 and Chevys.
8. He loves Baskin Robbins Chocolate and Peanut butter ice cream.
9. Rob is very laid back and he rarely stresses out or worries. He is also very calm under pressure.
10. Rob likes Broadway musicals. The most recent show that we saw was Wicked.
11. He is very smart and always does well at things with very little preparation.
12. In high school, Rob was voted "Best All-around".
13. Rob also was on his high school's basketball team and it is still one of his favorite sports to play and watch.
14. He is a CPA and currently works for Darden Restaurants.
15. Rob loves Disneyworld and would go there every week if he could. He never gets tired of going.
16. He watches Sportscenter every morning before he goes to work and if he turns on the TV, he will always turn it to ESPN or sometimes the History channel.
17. His favorite TV shows are 24 and The Office.
18. He grew up in the Bay area of California and still loves anything to do with the state and even named Callie after his home state.
19. He is a great dad and loves playing with the kids.
20. He served his mission in Campinas, Brazil
21. He hardly ever gets sick which is rare in our family because it seems like someone is always sick.
22. He loves the game Axis and Allies but has a hard time finding people to play with him.
23. Rob is a great teacher and has great energy and excitement when he teaches.
24. Rob is very frugal except when it comes to legos and electronics.
25. He drives a car that is 15 years old,is rusting very badly, shakes when you drive over 40mph, gas pedal is hard to push down and sticks, trunk does not open, and air conditioner only works about 25% of time but because of the above he thinks he can make it last for a few more years.
26. He hates styrofoam especially the squeaking sound it makes.
27. Rob is a morning person and does not mind getting up early but has a hard time staying up late.
28. Rob currently has 3 callings-Deacons Quorum advisor, 2nd counselor in YM presidency, and Assistant Scoutmaster.
29. Rob does not like to read except for the Harry Potter books.
30. Rob does not get embaressed so he likes to do things to embarress me in public.

I agree with you Sarah, I am also not excited to be in our 30's! But people say the 30's are better than the 20's so let's hope!
