Growing up

Jack starts preschool next week and it makes me realize how much the kids are growing up. His preschool is twice a week for three hours and I am so happy that he will have something to do outside of the house because he is getting very bored at home and then this resorts to him torturing Callie. Jack is becoming so independent. He insists on dressing himself and picking out his clothes. He shuts his door and won't let anyone in until he is all done so you can't help him. He loves dressing up(that is what he is doing in the picture). I have a lot of dress up clothes for him and this is one of his favorite things to do. Jack is also in a talkative, question phase. He is always asking a million questions and wants to know about everything.

We took Jack to see Monster House last night. He loved it and wanted to act it out the whole ride home. Rob bought him a big bag of popcorn during the movie and he kept pushing our hands away from the popcorn and telling us that we were eating too much of his popcorn. He sat on our laps enthralled with the movie the whole time. He loves scary things so he enjoyed the movie.

Callie is all of the sudden talking a lot. She has been such a quiet baby and now she is saying so many words. Her favorite things to say is "uh-oh" which she throws things on the ground just to be able to say "uh-oh" and "where's jack" because she loves playing with Jack and anytime she doesn't see him, she repeats over and over "where's jack" until she find him. Her favorite things to do is play with her dolls(feeding them with bottles((she even makes the eating sounds)), kissing them, and pushing them in her doll stroller), eating(which she likes to do a lot), looking at books, watching Blue's Clues, throwing balls, following around Jack, doing all the hand motions to itsy bitsy spider, climbing on everything, being outside, and swinging. She is such a fun and sweet little girl and not much of a baby anymore:(

Cute - they grow up so fast. Sounds like you have a lot of great toys for them to play with and that they both have their own interests. You'll have to let us know how preschool goes!
